JK Lunch Bunch & Enrichment Overview

  • JK students have the option to extend their day with Lunch Bunch for an additional fee

    • AM JK students stay until 1:00pm

    • PM JK students come early at 11:25am

  • Families must commit to all 3 days of Lunch Bunch (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday) at the time of regular class registration 

  • On March 2nd, you will have the option to “upgrade” a Lunch Bunch to an Enrichment class, for an additional fee

  • If there are any openings in an Enrichment after June 1st, we will open it up to students not enrolled in Lunch Bunch.

  • Each enrichment class is limited to 10 children, selected through a lottery system. Classes must have at least 7 students to run

  • Willow Wood staff will transition students between their regular school day and any Lunch Bunch/Enrichment programs they are in

AM JK Enrichment

Monday: Hola Bonjour Until 2:00pm

Tuesday: Wonder Kids Until 2:30pm

Wednesday: Food for Thought Until 2:00pm

PM JK Enrichment

Monday: Wonder Kids Drop off at 10:00am 

Class Descriptions

Hola Bonjour: Children will be exposed to the Spanish and French languages and related cultural experiences in this fun-filled class. Through repetition and storytelling, students will learn the basics of these languages while enjoying songs, games, art and other hands-on activities

Wonder Kids: Students will explore a variety of science themes outside of the JK curriculum, drawn from their own interests. Participants will get hands-on, age-appropriate experience with a variety of science-related topics such as weather, animals, magnetism and sound.

Food for Thought: Students gain a deeper understanding of food and its connection to health by experiencing new foods through taste, smell, sight and preparation. Children will listen to food-related stories, and have hands-on opportunities to cook recipes, as well as practice math through ingredient measurement. They will take home the recipe and a sample of the food they make.
