Organization of Willow Wood

Willow Wood is governed by a board of directors as a non-profit, non-sectarian, non-discriminatory organization and is licensed by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.

Willow Wood is a member of the following organizations:

• National Association for Education of Young Children
• Chicago Association of Education of Young Children
• Winnetka Alliance for Early Childhood

Accreditation

In June 1987, Willow Wood achieved accreditation by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs. The Academy is the only national, professionally-sponsored, voluntary accreditation system for preschools.

Willow Wood has been accredited by NAEYC for more than 20 years, which is a reflection of our commitment to maintaining the highest quality preschool experience. Only 7% of schools nationwide (11% in Illinois) have earned this honor.
