“One child, one teacher, one pen and one book can change the world.”—Malala Yousafzai
Welcome Back or Welcome to Willow Wood! As many of you know, it is a magical place and for our rookie families, we hope you and your children will find your special place here at 684 Oak Street.
Preparations have been underway all summer to ensure a meaningful and magical year! One of the most important tasks was that of creating an exceptional staff. Your children are in the best of hands (literally) with our staff, both returning and new. After all, everyone has that one teacher – or, if they’re lucky, a few teachers, who help unlock their potential and change the way they see the world. This is the magic of Willow Wood!
The newest members of our staff are as follows:
Sonja Anderson (PM JK teacher)
Jennifer Beckmann (AM 3’s aide)
Coley Patterson (AM and PM JK teacher)
Dawn Stanek (PM JK teacher)
Laurie VanDusen (AM 3’s and Young 2’s teacher)
We are so fortunate to have the best of the best when it comes to teachers and aides. They care for, challenge and support your children through meaningful experiences and play on a daily basis. This year, I will be highlighting our staff in my Messenger articles. I hope you will enjoy getting to know these incredible women as I know them: devoted to their field and dedicated to Willow Wood and our families.
As for myself, my door is always open and my ears are ready to listen. Just reach out if you ever have questions, concerns, ideas or experiences to share.
Cheers to a year full of playing, learning and growing for all,
